SUMMARY:NTI Conference for Electrical Training Conference
DESCRIPTION:Class4 Fault Managed Power Systems (FMPS) are included in the new Section 726 of the 2023 NEC. Class4 systems provide powering solutions for remotely located applications where power is currently unavailable\, the available capacity is too small\, or where the applications require\, or benefit\, from a centrally backed up power source. FMPS solutions are capable of providing kW’s of power\, 100’s or 1000’s of feet away from the source\, over smaller conductors\, in a format that is ‘Touch Safe’. The session will provide background on the evolution of FMPS\, current status of Class4 Systems specifications and approvals\, overview of the component parts for a Class4 System\, stand alone and integrated deployment models\, along with insights to Best Practices for designs and deployments. This event is exclusive to IBEW/NECA members.
