VoltServer receives $1M Grant

The US Department of Energy (DOE) announced recipients of its Phase II SBIR grant program, with VoltServer receiving nearly $1 million in the form of a non-dilutive grant to continue research into low-cost, high efficiency LED lighting. This continues VoltServer’s participation in the SBIR program after successfully completing an initial Phase I grant of $250k in FY2014.

VoltServer is one of only two participants in the FY2015 Phase II program who received grants for LED lighting research. The project will speed the adoption of energy efficient solid-state lighting in commercial buildings by reducing costs by 30% or more, reducing power losses by 25%, and seamlessly integrating advanced building controls using native digital electricity technology.

You can read more at Energy Manager Today and see the full list of recipients on the DOE website.
